2009 Terra Sonoma Alexander Valley Chardonnay
This is our first vintage of wine for Terra Sonoma.
100% Chardonnay. 6 Dijon clones. Clay soils in dry, hot climate.
Winemaking entails... handharvested, carbonic maceration whole cluster for 3 days. Gentle pressing. Small lot fermentations in French Chateau barrels - partial Stainless fermentation. Cool, long fermentations. Half innoculated half native yeast. Partial malolactic fermentation. 8 months in barrel. 10 months in bottle.
A beautiful addition to the culinary products we produce... and as we know... food is much better with a glass of wine.
